Steve Crase

Mayor

I have lived in the village for 45 years.
I started with the Village in 1993 on the Fire Department, rising to the rank of Chief in 2007.
Served on Village Council for 2 Terms and have been the Mayor since 2017.

I have served the Village in public service since I was 19 years old. I love the Village and its small-town feel. Growing up in the Village as a child, everyone knew you and it was nice to have so many friends and adults to look after you. I hope the Village never loses that feel.

I love the outdoors; I am a SCUBA instructor and love to introduce new people to the sport. I also love to hunt and fish.

I have lived in Arlington Heights for 51 years.
I'm currently on Council, Finance committee.
My husband Michael and I were married in our living room and raised five children here.
I retired from the IRS in June, 2015.
I attend St. Peter & Paul Church (now Our Lady of the Valley).
We could have moved but our family and myself love Arlington Heights.
I have friends of 45 years or more, they are family to me now.
I am honored to be a council member and to represent the people of Arlington Heights.

I am a lifetime valley resident and a Reading High Graduate.

I believe in community investment, so in addition to my work on council, I own multiple properties in the Valley, including my own shop in the Reading Bridal District, where I have been successful for 22 years.

I have organized some of the most successful and well attended community events in Arlington and look forward to further neighborhood involvement.

Resident of Arlington Heights: 37 years

Interesting Facts About Me: 1.) I love to travel, 2.) I am currently working on my second Master's Degree, 3.) Even though I'm an English teacher, I LOVE science and history—and our community has some AMAZING history, 4.) I have a strong family history in Arlington Heights—my children are the fourth generation of my family who have lived or are currently living in our awesome little village!

I decided several years ago to run for council because I am the type of person who believes in taking action when I want to see change! I believe I bring knowledge and a strong voice to our village council. My decisions are ALWAYS based upon what best serves our residents!

I am a lifelong resident of the village. I raised my 2 sons here. I was recruited on my 18th birthday to the fire department. I started on the department in July of 1970. In 1986 I became lieutenant and in 1989 captain. I eventually took the role of Fire Chief in 1992 and retired in 2001. In 2016 I was appointed to council. I enjoy being a member of council and making a difference in the community.

I have lived in the Village of Arlington Heights since 2014. I love this little community.

I worked in the non-profit area for many years and owned two small businesses. I have a degree in Computer Science and brings knowledge and experience with creating writing, event planning, fundraising, as well as skills in small business ownership.

I love traveling, love fishing and plan to move to Sunny Florida when I retire. I enjoy cooking, gardening and really enjoy refinishing and bringing old furniture back to life

I wanted to be on council to make a difference and be heard. We are all important and your voice matters. I will faithfully be your voice and you will be heard because we all matter.

Megan Braun

Fiscal Director

I am the Fiscal Director for the Village for over 6 years.

If I did not have a bus full of my own children and pets, I would love to be a resident of this amazing Village.  Some of the greatest people I have ever met reside(d) here and I feel blessed to be a part of this Community.  I did not know “small town” meaning, not truly anyways, until I arrived here, and I have loved it every day since.

Currently, my husband Ian and I reside in Harrison with our 5 kids and fur babies.  Our hobbies include surviving 4 teenagers all at once under the same roof.  I truly am blessed with an amazing family and even more amazing dogs (they are always happy to see me).

I have enjoyed working in my position in the Village for these years but most of all I enjoy knowing that every time I enter this Village it feels like Home.
